A teacher married to a police officer... the new middle-class

This post is 100% the result of a lunchroom discussion I had with two colleagues.  During the course of said discussion, I made the above statement.

this article (dated 2008) says that LPD recruits make $41k during their probationary period, which jumps to $45,558 after 18mos of service

$44k avg teacher salary in region 17
(which includes lubbock)
starting salary of $37k (almost $40k)
sorry, i'm conflating region 17 data with data for lisd
region 17 avg is $44,026, while lisd avg is $45,804 (almost $46k)
the starting salary was available only for lisd, and was $37,750
(so, almost $38k)

Propaganda

I'm going to focus on three main issues here:

  1. the history of propaganda
  2. war propaganda
  3. anti-gun propaganda
